The packaging system has been designed for wrapped hard candies, but can also be used for other products with similar product properties. Starting with the loading station for wrapped candies consisting of four double-T beams attached to the ceiling with chain hoists for the big bags, as well as four depositing devices with stainless steel funnels and vibration discharge. The products are then transferred in a controlled manner to two flow-wrapping packaging systems via conveyor belts and a HUMBERT & POL bucket elevator.

Line 1:

The tubular bags from both lines are then combined and checked, counted and passed on to a cartoning machine JP-MASCHINENBAU GmbH Type KWH200-DT. The machine groups a specified number of bags in a plate carrier chain, which pushes the product package onto a base cardboard blank and transfers it to a carrier chain. The flaps are folded upwards and a lid cardboard blank is positioned over them. As the machine is transported towards the outlet, the flaps are also folded and fixed with hot glue.

The final step is an automated palletizing system LORENZ PAN, which places the cartons layer by layer on EURO PALLETS and then packs them weatherproof for transport by truck. The palletizing system is completely secured against unauthorized access with protective grilles and light barriers.

The majority of the machines were built in 2016, although the system was hardly ever used. The product was already planned to be discontinued upon completion, hence the general condition of the system as good as new.

Performance:
- BOSCH tubular bag packaging machines: approx. 90 cycles per minute per machine.
- JP cartoning machine: approx. 15 cartons per minute, corresponding to approx. 180 bags per minute.

The bags are currently placed in a row in the box, as follows:
Format 1 (18 bags each 85+90+100 gr.): Box approx. 380 x 129 x 107 mm - performance approx. 11 cartons/min.
Format 2 (20 bags each 70+75 gr.): Box approx. 380 x 129 x 107 mm - performance approx. 9 cartons/min.
Format 3 (10 bags each 70 gr.): Box approx. 239 x 129 x 107 mm - performance approx. 15 cartons/min.

The performance of the palletizing system depends on the number of cartons and the number of layers per pallet.
