Five roll refiner BÜHLER - Type SFL-1800 with approx. 1800 mm working width

The machine for grinding chocolate and couverture masses of various viscosities and compositions, whereby the five steel rollers are hydraulically controlled. After adjusting the pressing pressures, the grinding gaps are automatically adjusted and are easily reproducible. The rollers can be released or pressurized via a control lever without changing the previously set values. The set pressures can be read off via pressure gauges; this also applies to the water inlet temperatures of the individual roller cooling systems. The compound is fed to the bottom pair of rollers via a feed hopper and removed again at the top fifth roller with a scraper blade. The output of the machine is essentially dependent on the composition of the mass (in particular the fat content) and the desired fineness.
